Throughout the second quarter of 2022, the top music and podcasts apps in Romania showcased varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users according to data from Sensor Tower.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts saw a peak in weekly downloads in mid-April with approximately 23.4K, before experiencing a gradual decline towards the end of the quarter, closing at around 14.4K. The app's weekly revenue fluctuated, starting at $17 at the end of March, dropping to minimal values in May, and ending the quarter with around $7. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 1.2M at the beginning of the quarter to around 1.25M by the end.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts maintained consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 8.9K to 9.9K throughout the quarter. Weekly revenue showed a slight dip from $26 at the end of March to $14 in May, with a small rebound to $16 by the end of June. Active users grew steadily from approximately 608K to 651K over the quarter.

YouTube Music experienced a steady decline in weekly downloads from 9.1K at the end of March to about 6.3K by late June. Weekly revenue peaked at $15.7K in mid-April and remained strong, ending the quarter at around $12.4K.
